Extended nose pieces 5.0 mm

A stud discharge tube and guide sleeve matching the stud diameter is required. For Article No., see list of retention nose pieces at the bottom of this page.

In order to take into account the thermal expansion of the façade panels, ensure that the hole clearance in the panel is as large as the expected thermal expansion.

Retention nose pieces available as options ensure that the rivet cannot fall out of the tool so that one hand remains free, e.g. to hold the part.

Furthermore, the pretension of the retention nose piece ensures that sheared rivet mandrels are “automatically” pushed into the collecting bin by the following mandrel – tilting of the tool is therefore not necessary and the riveting process is accelerated.

To ensure optimum riveting with HONSEL retention nose pieces, we recommend the use of the guide sleeves and stud discharge tubes matching the respective STUD DIAMETER (S).

Drill holes are often so deep in parts that even extended nosepieces are not sufficient to reach them.

For these applications, extended front sleeves with correspondingly modified clamping mechanisms are available for most HONSEL battery riveters.

As with the standard sleeves, these are very narrow with only 21 mm diameter so that drill holes can be reached even in confined installation situations.
