RivSmart service and repair

VIP-Service

The RivSmart can be registered for the VIP Service within 30 days of the purchase date and a maximum of 1000 rivetings. Registration is only possible in combination with coupling of the riveter with the RivSmart app and completed registration on the Internet. The registration confirmation that must be immediately printed out together with the original purchase receipt showing the date of purchase serve as proof of registration. Please note that the complete VIP Service is not yet available in all countries.

Extended manufacturer’s warranty

The warranty period is 24 months, in industrial or professional use 12 months. The warranty period starts with the purchase by the initial buyer. The determining date for the warranty period is the date on the original purchase receipt. In the VIP Service, this period is extended to 36 months. A precondition for the extended “VIP warranty” is regular maintenance. The RivSmart draws attention to this at regular intervals. Further details can be found in the operating manual. Free replacement tool

In order to ensure permanent availability, a replacement tool is sent out in the first step before the customer’s tool is collected. This offer applies only in conjunction with repairs or service work by HONSEL. If calls are received by 15:00 h, the replacement tool is sent out on the same day. The customer is provided with the replacement tool free of charge for a maximum of one calendar week. If the handling at HONSEL takes longer than this agreed period, the tool is provided for the whole handling time at HONSEL.

Free pickup

In order to ensure permanent availability, a replacement tool is sent out in the first step before the customer’s tool is collected. The repaired customer’s tool is delivered before the replacement tool is collected. This offer applies only in conjunction with repairs or service work by HONSEL. The replacement/collection service is carried out in a specially designed shipping package.

Exclusive professional support

In addition to the familiar support, the VIP Service includes an exclusive Professional Support hotline; this number is only activated after successful registration. In addition, every customer has a wide range of short explanatory videos available as well as an FAQ list with the most frequent questions that help you to help yourself.

Regular software updates free of charge

As our RivSmart app and firmware are continuously updated and optimised, regular updates are available. Extensions going beyond the standard modification are also included in the VIP Service.
