Confirmation of compliance with the requirements of the PPWR (Regulation (EU) 2025/40)
HONSEL Distribution GmbH, as the party placing the packaging on the market, hereby confirms that all packaging and packaging components already supplied and to be supplied to you in future comply with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR), to the extent that these are applicable at the respective time of placing on the market.
Requirements for substances (Art. 5 PPWR)
We confirm that the restrictions on substances under Art. 5 PPWR are complied with and that the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) are met. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are not added to our packaging. The PFAS limit values laid down in Art. 5 PPWR for food contact packaging are not relevant, as our packaging is not intended for contact with food.
Supporting documentation
For the packaging placed on the market by us, technical documentation in accordance with Annex VII PPWR and an EU declaration of conformity in accordance with Art. 39 in conjunction with Annex VIII PPWR are available. We will provide these documents to you in full and without delay upon request. The technical documentation and the declarations of conformity are retained in accordance with the requirements of the PPWR and can be accessed at www.honsel.de/ppwr.
Validity and changes
The technical documentation and the declaration of conformity remain valid as long as we do not make any changes to the respective type of packaging. Changes in size do not constitute a change to the type of packaging. In the event of a change to the type of packaging, we will inform you in writing without delay and provide updated technical documentation and a correspondingly amended declaration of conformity.
Note on staged requirements
Some of the requirements of the PPWR only apply at later dates and are covered by this confirmation only to the extent that they are already applicable: the recyclability performance grades under Art. 6 from 1 January 2030 (recycling at scale from 1 January 2035, grades A or B from 1 January 2038) and the minimum recycled content for plastic packaging under Art. 7 from 1 January 2030.
